Do you need healing...physically or emotionally? Do you need a miracle? Do you need wisdom, guidance, or help? Nothing can stop the power of the Holy Spirit and Heaven from invading your reality. HEALING FAQ's

-Why me?

You are stuck in the middle of a spiritual battle between Light and dark. Good and evil. God and the devil. An attack on you...either physically or emotionally...is part of the battle. And the purpose is to keep you from God. But Light always overpowers the dark. And you were given power over this darkness. All of Jesus' miracles were done with the power of the Holy Spirit...He promised you the SAME Spirit and ordered you to do greater works. Get to it.

John 14:12-14 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask for anything in my name, and I will do it.

-How does God's power work?

Jesus does it by Faith in Him thru the power of the Holy Spirit. And Gods power is greater than the works of the devil. ANYONE can receive the Holy Spirit if they simply believe. ANYONE. There are NO qualifications. NONE. Is that clear enough?

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

-I am a believer and I got seriously problems and/or health concerns...why didn't Jesus protect me?

There are a few explanations to this, but the two common ones are:
1) This is a test. Just like in school, you can't prove that you know something until you take a test. And God is allowing the devil to test you for some reason. But thankfully, God rewards obedience and there is always a promotion on the other side of the test. Keep your faith, pass the test, and enjoy the reward. Only you will know what God is trying to promote you to. And God will help you every step of the way.
2) You stepped outside of God's hedge-of-protection. True believers have a hedge-of-protection around their lives. But sometimes people stumble and turn their back on God...placing their Faith in something else. If you walk away from the protection of God, you are in enemy territory and susceptible to attack. Repent and seek God. He WILL forgive you.

-Why do some people get instant results and some take a long time?

Only God can answer that, but I've experienced it both ways. For example, I had a broken ankle in college and had to go back to work as a waiter before I fully recovered. That caused all kinds of problems and complications for me physically, but I needed the money. After 9 months of pain, I was working a shift and some woman offered to pray for me. Loudly praying and holding my foot while in a busy restaurant was mortifying, but I let her do it with the tiniest seed of Faith. And after a few weeks, I realized that I wasn't limping anymore, that my ankle wasn't hurting, and that all of my back and shoulder complications had disappeared.

And now as a more mature Christian, I have had ailments that nagged me for a few years. Problems that don't generally improve over time...such as my prostate and knees. But after staying in prayer and Faith, I was healed. I have had healing happen more than once, which makes it hard to not believe.

The key is to have total Faith that He will heal you or put you in a position to be healed or both. The payment for healing is to have Faith and trust His timeline. Plus, Jesus may want to spend time with you. But in the end, we get the healing. It is a promise of God. The secret is that He wants us on the path of Faith.

-Jesus wants to spend time with me?

If you came to Him, you are a child of God. Jesus loves you and wants to enjoy you. He also wants to teach you some things. While you are talking (and possibly complaining) to Him...He is talking back to you through the Holy Spirit by speaking to your conscience or popping ideas into your head as answers. It's amazing to think that God wants to spend time with us. But imagine being a billionaire; it would be no fun spending life alone. God owns everything and wants to share his riches and fellowship with us! Faith is our ticket to Heaven.

-Faith? But what about doctors? Should I use one?

Of course you should use dentists and doctors. They have a part to play too. This is a fallen world and we are stuck in these fallen bodies, in this worldly situation. And until Jesus returns, traditional "life" situations apply. But Faith works like this...lets say you chip a tooth and have NO money to fix it. Have Faith and Jesus will find a way to get you proper dental care somehow. Or He might just miraculously fix your tooth. Either way, its His call.

Can I do things that block Jesus from healing me?

Yes. You can block God's power. Things like self-righteousness are an obstacle to receiving healing, because it basically says that you are depending on yourself and your works to get healed. You don't deserve anything from God, but His Grace is given to help you accomplish His plans. And His plans include healing and fixing your life. You are a new creation...and you have been given power and authority. Place your complete Faith in the promises of the Bible and find victory over the works of the devil.

In fact, if you asked me, I believe that my first healing experience as a waiter was quick due to the fact that I had no self-righteousness. I just believed, received, and found victory. But the other problems took longer to heal when I was more knowledgeable due to the fact that I spent a lot of time either looking at my own works or the works of the devil instead of looking at His power and simply receiving the promise.

-What else?

Quit hurting yourself. You cannot eat a tub of ice cream and then pray away the calories. We all have weaknesses and vices that hurt us, but ask Jesus for help. And again, His help comes on His timeline. I've had instant revelations about sin when I first started going to church and was ready to quit. I've also slowly lost interest in things that don't help my spiritual life such as television or partying. I can't explain how that happened...it just did...and I am better for it.

You reap what you sow. Do your best and trust God for the rest. He WILL help you IF you ask.

-What about my life struggles? I have real problems.

You are in bondage of some sorts. Darkness/demons/satanic forces are attacking you and you don't know how to break the cycle. Loneliness, depression, heavy-ness, lethargy, disease, pressure, hate, anger, frustration, jealousy, etc, etc, etc...are all tools of the enemy. Jesus can set you free right now, but the next step you take after that is the most important. To stay free you must continually run to Jesus. He is your shield and your buckler and will guide you around and away from problems towards an abundant life. Jesus IS on your side. Look at Him.

If you want to be free, say this aloud. "Jesus, you are my rock and my shelter. You said that you would NEVER leave me nor forsake me. And where you are...evil CANNOT exist. I am free, I am free, I am free! I love you and I thank you for being with me and setting me free from the traps of the devil. Now help me live a life pleasing to you. In Jesus name, Amen."

You are free. I know it. Now go in peace.

-OK, smart guy, explain death to me.

I have had visions of Heaven. It was amazing. I want to be there. But in the meantime, I am stuck here. I have wonderful kids to raise and a life to live. Plus, I also have the job and the blessing of being able to spread the good news. Until that time, I am supposed to do my job and bring Heaven to Earth. Death is a curse and the release from this earthly realm. We can't escape it. It blinds us from the reality of spiritual things and it is ugly. But the ultimate healing experience is being with God. And that only happens when it's your time and not a second before.

-What do I do in the meantime?

In the meantime. Learn what Faith is. God rewards people for having Faith...both in this life and in the afterlife. Learn how good He is and how bad this world is. Learn how to cultivate His presence. Learn about the power and authority over darkness that a believer has. Read the Bible. Follow Jesus.
